I have announced that I am running for Judge of the 188th Gregg County District Court. Judge David Brabham is retiring after more than twenty (20) years on the bench. I will be running as a Republican in the March 2018 Primary and am asking for your support.
I began my legal career as a prosecutor with McClennan County in 1987. I was hired by the Gregg County District Attorney’s office in 1989 by then District Attorney, David Brabham, and served in the office for four years. In 1992, I joined the law firm of Pritchard and Pritchard, practicing specifically civil law. I was appointed Municipal Judge for the City of Lakeport and served for the last 25 years. In 2000, I opened a private practice where the firm specialized in estate planning, probate, and guardianships. I have represented over 2,000 individuals in civil and criminal law.
Furthermore, I enjoy being an active member of this community. I have served on several non-profit boards including the East Texas Literacy Council and the Women’s Center of East Texas. I am currently serving on the Board for the House of Disciples and LeTourneau’s YellowJacket Advisory Council. I have been a Rotarian for twenty-seven (27) years; serving as President from 2015-2016.
My life experience has prepared me to become a public servant and I pledge to serve the citizens of Gregg County as a fair and impartial judge.
